Taking a break from Christmas and today is all about 2020 bookings and organizing the calendar. Also having a chance to catch up on this years weddings and having fun reviewing the work that was created in 2019, like this fall wedding. This is Val of @callingmountains whose floral brief was “I trust you, do anything as long as it’s yellow”, so created this…her wedding day was magical and so proud to have been a part of it. Trying to not weed out all the poppies. They’re wildcards here—never quite know what colours I’m going to get (given fall frenzies of seed scattering and self-sowers appearing together) until June and by then they’ve devoured space…space I need now that I’ve been sowing up a storm …far more flowers than I want to grow or can probably use, but I can’t seem to stop. Sunday’s #WildNorthFFF went out to “A”, a medical resident at Mount Sinai who works in the emergency room and then volunteers her “spare time” at a COVID-19 assessment centre. Both places are overwhelmed with lots of scared and anxious patients, and A is doing an amazing job comforting everyone and ensuring they each get the care they need. The nominator informed us that A is a true flower-lover. We hope these flowers brightened her day and let her know how thankful we all are that she is committing ALL of her time to working on the front lines right now.
