A Stunning Anne of Green Gables-Inspired Styled Shoot

One of Canada’s greatest literary romances is Anne Shirley and Gilbert Blythe from Lucy Maude Montgomery’s beloved Anne of Green Gables. This styled shoot concept imagines their charming romance and is the Tan Rutley from Mesa Events, Rentals + Design, and Marlee Clark of Willow Hair. Brimming with rustic, elegant and romantic elements the pair imagined Anne and Gilbert’s love story with a modern twist. Kildara Farms, an old schoolhouse, and a historical train created the perfect backdrop for Anne and Gilbert. The feeling and styling of the ceremony photos are inspired by the simple elegance of the original books. The first look takes place in an old school house where Anne and Gilbert first met; the quote, penned on a canvas banner by Petite Paperie Design Co. (along with the gorgeous stationery on handmade paper), is taken from their wedding scene in the book, the orchard is where the characters wed, and the jewelry is inspired by nature, calling back to Anne’s love of the outdoors. The décor was simple, yet whimsical and elegant, just like Anne herself. All photos are captured by Kari Burgess of Eternal Reflections Photography and have a light, airy and timeless quality to them, just like Anne and Gilbert.
